  Notes	"About 1837 Charlotte Snow taught the school in the Hurlbut district (near Cleveland, Ohio) a winter term of 4 months, at a gain of One Dollar per week. During this time her father, Russ Snow, using the main room of the log-house home for a work-shop, made scythe and cradle, snathes and frames, and in the spring he borrowed the $16 his daughter had earned, to iron these to be ready for the market. Thus he secured money with which to pay taxes." "H. Holland Snow (Russ' second son) also taught the school in the Hurlbut District."
