- Thomas' first wife, Clarinda Southwick and their son, Enos, are both buried in N. Collins. Book, History of the Original Town of Concord, etc., pg. 754, states, "Enos's father, Thomas S. Hibbard, was an old resident of North Collins, and died in 1881. Book also lists T. S. Hibbard as Justice of the Peace in 1877, so am assuming Thomas also died and was buried in N. Collins. Tom and Dee Hibbard verbal 1996 believe Thomas and second wife Lovicy/Lovisa? are both buried in N. Collins also, but there is no cemetery stone nor record for either one in N. Collins Cemetery.
Mary (Hibbard) Stack and Kay Palmer have tried to locate place of death and place of burial. It's possible that Thomas and his second wife Lovicy were buried in N. Collins, but no proof. They may be in the "occupied, unknown" graves in Sect. C, Lot. 28.

Notes |
- NOTE:(mhs) North Collins did NOT exist in 1850. It was formed from part of Collins in 1852/3 and was originally called Shirley. Shirley Rd. is one of the few remaining vestiges of it's short-lived name. The name Shirley was not popular with the townspeople and within a year the name Shirley was changed to North Collins. Therefore, many of the persons that you find are listed in the 1850 Collins census and then in the North Collins 1855, 1860, etc. censuses probably did not actually move. They were still living where they always did; just the name of their area was changed.
Book, History of Town of Concord, pg. 754- "Enos S. Hibbard was born in North Collins, April 24, 1841, Where he has ever since claimed residence. His father, Thomas S. Hibbard, was an old resident of North Collins, and died in 1881. His mother, Clarinda Southwick, was a daughter of Enos Southwick, Esq., of Gowanda. Mr. (Enos) Hibbard was married in 1867 to H. Josephine Hall, of Rochester, NY., who was born Aug. 14, 1846. They have six children, as follows: Hoyt R., born March 30, 1871. Howard G., born March 19, 1873. Irene, born April 4, 1875. Clarinda, born July 3, 1876. Fred L., born Oct. 21, 1878. Edgar H., born Sept. 11, 1880."
Book" History of Town of Concord-pg. 729 lists Thomas S. Hibbard as Justice of the Peace in 1853 and 1874. Lists T.S. Hibbard as Justice of the Peace in 1877. (Assume all same person.) Pg. 730-731 under Town Officers of N. Collins: Collectors, 1872 - Thomas S. Hibbard 1873- NOTE: "In 1873, owing to a fear of spreading small-pox, no town meeting was held, and the officers elected the previous year held over."
In the 1870 census, Thomas and his second wife Lovicy were living with his son Enos.
The 1875 census, pg. 14, #128-#129 lists Harriet Hicks, age 59, f, boarder, widowed, born Cayuga, native, living with the Thomas Hibbard family.
The 1880 census indicated both of Thomas' parents were born in VT.
Book, History of the Original Town of Concord, etc., Pg. 754: Enos Hibbard's father was Thomas S. Hibbard, an old resident of N. Collins; his mother was Clarinda Southwick, daughter of Enos Southwick, Esq. of Gowanda. Book, Desc. of Southwick's, pg.233 lists Thomas' middle name as Schovil.
